Loving Lately, vol. 6

loving lately vol. 6

Sorry for the slow start to the year around here, but I have a very good reason: I got a new job! Well, that only accounts for the last two weeks of January; the first two, I was buried under a blanket of unemployment and self-loathing, and couldn’t rally any consistent enthusiasm for blogging. But thank you to everyone for the good vibes, because it worked! The universe delivered in an unexpected way, and the best part is, I still have a few days off each week to focus on writing! Although, there have been more than a few episodes of The X-Files in there, as well. Happy February, kiddos!

  1. woo! that is so exciting to hear about your new job! do tell? i’m very excited that you still get to write during the week. also, i had no idea that diptyque releases a valentines day candle. i’m new to diptyque, but now that i live in a big city, there’s a shop up the street from me! love going in there to smell the different candles.

    1. I’m so jealous you have a Diptyque store so close! We don’t have a boutique here, but there are a few stores that carry them within dangerous distance from my house, haha. In years past I’ve relied on Nordstrom, but when it comes to the seasonal ones I like to go and sniff em in person. I’ve yet to to be disappointed! xo

    1. Thanks, Ally! If you’re thinking about it, watch it. It’s not my usual genre but I looooove it. xo

  2. Congratulations on your new job and glad you can still fit in your writing! Loved the X-files, all those years ago, ha! And there was me thinking that Den and I were soooo behind the times… we recently started Game of Thrones Season 1 :)

    1. Thanks, lovely Sam! I negotiated a working schedule that worked for my writing, too. That was a must. And I am happy that I get to play ‘catch up’ with X-Files now, it’s so much more fun to binge them all in rapid succession! Game of Thrones was too gory for us, haha. xo

  3. YAY ERIN YAY!! So happy for you. And yaaaasss re: X-Files. (Next you just have to hop on the Doctor Who train.)

    1. Thanks, Charlotte! It feels great to be working again! (Never thought I’d say that, haha). xo

  4. Yay for the new job!! :)
I didn’t catch many episodes of the X-Files when I was younger, mostly just the storyline ones that always played on tv. Shawn, on the other hand, has seen every episode ten times over. He loves that show! Some of them are still too scary for me to watch though… especially in the first season! We’ve been watching the new episodes on Fox on Monday nights and they’re hilarious. The show is making fun of itself and of modern society; I love it.

    1. Thanks, Marine! And actually the new reboot of the X-Files is the reason I started watching the series. I’m weird, and I couldn’t watch the new ones without catching up on the old ones first, haha. There are 202 episodes, though! And some of them have been really, really scary! I’m remembering why I didn’t watch them when they first aired (when I was 7 or 8 years old…). xo
