Time Lapse Paris

When Lauren tweeted me a link to these incredible time lapse videos of Paris (made from stitching together thousands of photographs by  Mayeul Akpovi), I knew I had to share them. You know, once I stopped weeping into my keyboard. Jarring music choices aside (a nice background of accordion music would have been preferable), these are absolutely mesmerizing.

God, I miss Paris. Is it time to go back yet?

  1. Yes! It IS time to go back, and I can tell you just when. :) I thought these were so stunningly beautiful, I didn’t even notice the music! How’s that for mesmerizing? Just turn down the volume and play the Midnight in Paris soundtrack and you’ll be good.

Happy Weekend, ducky. Been thinking about you. XO

  2. i have to say i think that music kind of ruined the moments for me a bit. eek, did not like the music for that at all. next time i will have to watch with accordion music in the background and the videos on mute.

so many pictures! that is really amazing to capture all those shots at different times and from different places and angles but they look exactly the same. ha, if i tried to do that it would not look so seamless ;)

    happy weekend! xoxo

  3. Wow, pretty stunning to see Paris in this way. The city really comes alive. ;)
I thought of you when I watched this video the other day: http://www.goyard.com/
(I shared it in a tweet and, stupid me, I should have cc’d you on it.)
Yep, I think it’s already time to go back. As the saying goes, “Paris is always a good idea.”
Have a wonderful weekend, Erin! xo

  4. I was watching the first one, in awe of the beautiful Parisian weather that the photographer was blessed with. And then I realized there were two more videos. I’m like you, totally drooling on my keyboard over the French streets and landmarks, and at the same time sobbing how it’s been three years THREE YEARS for me. For you it’s been like three weeks and I hope your suitcase still smells like the dirty Parisian streets because you can only be so lucky!!!
