Valentine’s Day is a week away, and if you’re like me and aren’t entirely disdainful about this Hallmark holiday (okay, that’s an understatement, I love Valentine’s Day, mostly for the color scheme), here are a few presents to get you in the spirit. Whether you have a lover in your life or not shouldn’t matter. The best Valentine you could ask for is yourself, and I see no reason why you shouldn’t treat yourself to an extra special day of spoiling and adoration. And really, who doesn’t want an excuse to eat an entire bag of red and pink m&ms?

  • Hi! I just found your blog and LOVE it! As a new blogger I’m wondering if you wouldn’t mind sharing what program you use for your collages and posts like the one above? Photoshop? InDesign?

    Many thanks!

    Annie @ Parcel

    • Hey Annie! I use Photoshop for all of these kinds of posts. Here are some tutorials I’ve made on how to create collages/general Photoshop tools. Hope that helps!! xo

      • So appreciated, thank you Erin!

  • The scarf! The SCARF!! Isn’t that just adorable?

    • I know! I love the little candy hearts. xo

  • That cookie bouquet is so stinking cute, and I’ve been wanting that poster for, like, ever :-)

    • That cookie bouquet would be crumbs in about five minutes if I got my hands on it! xo

  • i’ve never been big on valentines day but it doesn’t mean i don’t like cute valentines day things. i have been eyeing that print for awhile now, it grows on me every time i see it too. and i love pablo neruda, i think i have his complete collection of poems. have a happy weekend twinsy! xoxo

    • I’m just in it for all the themed candy and heart-shaped goodies, if we’re being honest :) I hope you had a wonderful weekend, lovey! xo

  • love that print.. i love valentines day, even though its probably cooked up by the corporate puppeteers- I think its like any holiday- its whatever you make it.

    • Haha, yeah the actual origin of St. Valentine dates back to the third century, but all of the stuff we associate with the holiday (cupids and red and pink and hearts) is totally a corporate creation. I’m okay with that though :) xo

  • I love Valentine’s Day. We don’t really celebrate in a huge romantic way around here, but I’ll be making some pink cookies for Cal to take with him this week and I’m sure there will be some champagne sometime. ;)

    • Champagne! That’s enough of a celebration, honestly, and plenty romantic if you ask me ;) xo

  • I love Valentine’s Day because 1) my BFF and college roommate used to decorate the apartment BIG time for Valentine’s Day – all pink and red for around two months of the year and 2) my mom is the best Valentine and used to get us Valentine’s Day balloons and candies and cards

    • Haha those are two really good reasons to love the holiday! My mom always sends the cutest cards, too. xo

  • I’m determined to ignore Valentine’s day. almost as bad as Christmas ;)

    • Haha, whoa! How come Christmas is so terrible?! ;) xo

  • Those paper source balloons are so cute. I seriously want some to add a little cuteness.

    • I know, they are so darling! They remind me of the Runts candies of the same shape, the pink ones. Super cute. xo
