Feeling Light

Do you ever get stuck on a particular interior? I’ve had this image pinned for well over a year, and I never tire of it. It’s the light and bright living room of this gorgeous home in Spain, and I keep coming back to it over and over again. Everything about it is perfect (well, except maybe those tacky glass palm trees in the foreground).

Is it the giant, beautiful canvas above the equally beautiful linen sofa? The plants? The mini gallery wall? I think it’s all that natural light streaming in, mostly. But all of the textures (and there are tons, from the dabs of paint on the canvas, to the thistly jute rug under foot) and the layout of the room keep pulling me in.

Here’s how to get the look:

Sofa / Lamp / Coffee Table / Painting / Framed Pictures 1, 2, 3, 4 / Plants / Blanket

    1. Hah, either sofa above would never survive a single afternoon in my house. Can you imagine how many times a day I’d have to vacuum it?? xo

  1. Haha those palm trees are totally a weird decor choice, but the rest of the room is perfection. Love the beautiful painting you picked!

    1. They’re so weird! And I could only find something similar from a local shop in Key West who made custom glass pieces. Don’t know how they ended up in Spain! xo

  2. The palm trees are so out of place in this beautiful interior, not sure why they are such a big part of the photo. They remind me of 80ies Florida and the rest of the room is so calming and relaxing.

    1. Yes! I could see them in a Golden Girls set rather than such a beautiful Spanish villa. The angle of the photo seems to be form behind the table they’re resting on, making them seem larger than life. Tackier than life, too. xo
